When Florida is having a summer, are the sun’s rays shining directly or indirectly towards Florida?
Is the hottest day of the year on the Summer Solstice?
Post your answers in the wiki’s discussion board. After you have submitted your answers, read and refer to this webpage: __http://scijinks.jpl.nasa.gov/solstice__ to help you and your partner each complete your own “Earth’s Axis” worksheet found next to your computer. After you and your partner have completed your individual worksheets, please turn them into the red assignment bin.

Refer back to the online passage to double check your answers. After you have completed the worksheet, turn it into the red assignment bin. Then, work with your partner to write a descriptive paragraph about your favorite season. Include at least one of this week's spelling words. Submit your paragraph in the wiki discussion board.

Friday: Now it's time to put together everything you learned! With your same partner click on the “Inspiration” program. You and your partner will be using Inspiration to make a chart describing the four seasons. For each season, write one paragraph describing it, including what the weather is like, the position of the Earth and the sun during the season, and a reason why you and your partner like the season. Also, make sure you add pictures to your chart. Once everyone has completed their charts, you will be presenting yours to another group that I will assign you. Have fun and be creative!

Monday: Chose a partner. Does the Earth orbit the sun in a perfect circle?
Why does the Earth have seasons?
At what degree is the Earth’s axis tilted?
